The world’s richest man severed ties with Nicole Buffett after she appeared in the well-regarded documentary "The One Percent," in which the scions of billionaires.
That documentary appearance featured Nicole Buffett saying “I’ve been very blessed to have my education taken care of, and I have had my living expenses taken care of while I’m in school”.
However, Buffett’s remarks didn’t go well with Warren.
Marie Claire did a report on Nicole this month and states that no one in the Buffett family had ever spoken that frank, that publicly, about their living arrangements.
Warren Buffet was not pleased.
Nicole would reportedly then appear on Oprah and say “It would be nice to be involved with creating things for others with that money and to be involved in it. I feel completely excluded from it.”
Thereafter Warren sent her a letter.
“People will react to you based on that ‘fact’ rather than who you are or what you have accomplished. I have not emotionally or legally adopted you as a grandchild, nor have the rest of my family adopted you as a niece or a cousin.”
